5th Annual Sperry Quarter Horse
Sale Results
With the
beautiful badlands in the background and pleasant weather, we sold 26
ride horses, 25 foals, and 12 broodmares and yearlings August 09. Buyers were in attendance from all over
including the states of Illinois, Kansas, Montana, California, Alabama, and Montana.
Interest in the horses and the program offered by Sperry Quarter Horses
grew over the last year. The sale was held at
Ranch-O-Rama in Medora, ND. Preview started at 10 a.m. and the
sale started at 1 p.m. with Lynn Weishaar as the auctioneer and John E.
Johnson as the pedigree announcer.
We started
the weekend on Friday morning at 9 with our first annual futurity.
Congratulations to Nick Rave, of Chicago, IL placing 1st overall in the
ride and conformation classes of the futurity with his 4 year old red
roan mare, Badlands Cash Value. He received a belt buckle.
Conformation Class Winners are: 1st: De Oro Man, sold as lot 78,
2nd: Badlands Peppy War, owned by Todd Leland of Sidney, MT, 3rd:
Badlands Peppy Yippi, sold as Lot 75. Ride Class Winners:
1st: Badlands Cash Value, owned by Nick Rave of Chicago, IL, 2nd:

to join us next year on Friday morning to take in our futurity. It
is open to anyone who has purchased horses from us in the past and are
under the age of five, you then have the option to sell the horse in our
sale.
